WHY DUCKS SLEEP ON ONE LEG (Scholastic,
1993). A charming Vietnamese folk tale illustrated by the renowned Tsengs. May be
listed with Scholastic's book clubs, in a cheap paperback version.
I NEVER
KNEW YOUR NAME (Houghton-Mifflin, 1994). Very poignant picture book for teens.
Won two awards; great reviews. Subject is teen suicide. The publisher goofed and
sold 4,000 copies to a remainders company without informing me, so I was unable to
purchase any. No one knows what happened to the copies after that because records
were lost (so they say!!). Four thousand copies are out there somewhere. If anyone
finds them, please let me know.
I have extra stock of eight of my titles and can sell them at a discount. If
you would like to purchase an autographed copy, please contact me at Sherry
Garland for prices and shipping details.
